| STUDIO RELOCATION
PROJECT After 33 years, KJHK is preparing to move its entire broadcast operation from its long-time home in the Sudler Annex (lovingly known as 'The Shack') into a brand-new state of the art facility within the Kansas Union, marking a new era in the station's campus success. Within the new 1400 square-foot studio, KJHK will create a standout broadcasting environment. Certain to be one of the finest college broadcast facilities in the country, the new studio will offer tremendous visibility and accessibility to all KU students and KJHK listeners. Equipped with the absolute latest in radio broadcasting technology, the new KJHK studio will prepare the next generation of KU students for careers in broadcasting and multimedia creation, while continuing its tradition of inspiring expression and lifetime leadership. Slated to begin construction in late 2008, the studio project is already underway, but KJHK still needs contributions towards the project in order to create the best station possible for KU and its students. With three production rooms, the station's historic music collection, as well as office space for KJHK's student volunteers, this immense facility upgrade will approach nearly half a million dollars to complete. KJHK needs your support to help bring about this monumental point in the station's history. Once operational, the studio will serve as a new media hub on campus. Located in the Kansas Union at the heart of student life, KJHK will continue to grow and flourish as an outlet for student expression. The new facility will be staffed by KJHK student volunteers every day of the week, and will be designed to help educate all KU and KJHK students in every aspect of broadcast radio and management. As a learning lab, KJHK will continue its tradition of student radio in this incredible new studio, while introducing new media creation and management to students. This new permanent home for KJHK will be designed to grow in scope and services as the station grows. Now is a perfect time for you to help the station complete a historic move. Your support can make a huge difference to this project and the future of KJHK at KU.
